Pair of 5.5cm Finger Cymbals

Finger cymbals are an early Asian percussion instrument often used in yoga, meditation and dancing.

These small cymbals that are commonly attached to the thumb and middle finger of one or both hands and struck together in a rhythmic pattern. Finger cymbals are an exellent instrument to develop a sense of rhythm, focus and calm for both children and adults.

Each cymbal measures 5.5cm in diameter.

Material: 62% copper + 38% zinc.

Finger cymbals are called Zil or Ziller in Turkey, Sagat or Sanouj in Egypt and other Arabic-speaking countries, Kymbalon in Greece, and Mouka in Morocco. Small, hand held cymbals have been found in many cultures around the world for thousands of years – Tingsha is what Tibetans call their hand held cymbals, and Taal or Manjira is what they are called in India.
